Most people long to be a part of something bigger than themselves.  They want their life to count for something bigger than themselves!  We believe God actually designed us with that longing – and He has gifted us with specific gifts, talents, and skills we can use to fulfill that desire.  It is our prayer that connecting with Hope will provide not only a place to grow in your faith – but also an opportunity to offer something to the church and to our neighbors!!

Missions

God calls us to go into our community, our nation, and the world to see lives transformed.  At Hope, we desire to live that out through our partnerships with multiple ministries and missionaries, locally and globally!

In the summer of 2020, seeking new ways to worship, Mike Adams presented to HCC the idea of worshiping under a tent at Constitution Park. This vision expanded to include over 10 different churches in the Waynesboro community. During this 10-day event, we saw people give their lives to Christ. You can follow Gospel Hill on Facebook.

Love INC helps churches help people. Members of HCC volunteer in a variety of ways to support this ministry.

In the first quarter of 2023, we are collecting diapers size 3 or 4, pull-ups, and diaper wipes to support this ministry.

The focus of this ministry is to provide public school children in Stuarts Draft Elementary, Stump Elementary, and Wilson Elementary schools with the opportunity to learn about God, our creator, and Jesus, our savior. With permission from parents, students in grades K-5 are released to an off-school site for classes. The Bible is the primary text used. The instruction is interdenominational and has been approved by the Virginia Council of Churches.

In addition to financial support, Hope Community Church provides Bibles to fifth-grade students and places tabs in the Bible to assist the students in finding their way around the Bible.

Outreach

Pray & Go is an opportunity for members of our church to walk and pray for the people in Waynesboro. So far, we have prayed over every home in the Pelham neighborhood. That is over 500 homes we have blessed!

As we pray for the people in the homes, we will leave a door hanger with information about our church, including an opportunity for people to respond by an email if they would like for us to pray specifically about an issue in their life.
