Our Beliefs & Values

We are a congregation of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), and as such, we affirm the essentials of our faith.

“Friends, Jesus’ life and especially his death, epitomizes His love for us. It’s in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection that we come to understand the full impact of God’s love for us. So if we claim to follow Jesus, we [should strive] to live in love.”

– Pastor Glen Holman

Frequently Asked Questions

Sunday, 9:30 AM – Adult Sunday School
Sunday, 10:30 AM – Worship & Sermon

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably. For some, they are comfortable in jeans; others are comfortable in a sports jacket. We encourage you to simply be you.

Do you do communion?

Yes. The first Sunday of each month we celebrate communion. All who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior may join in communion. There is no presssure; so if you don’t feel comfortable participating in communion, it’s not a problem.

How do I become a member?

Exploring Hope is a gathering designed to communicate a brief overview of what is important to us here at Hope, including our history, what we believe, our vision, our values, our denomination, and how to get connected.  This class is the first step in our discipleship process and is the introduction to church membership.  The two-hour class generally includes lunch in our main Sunday school room.  If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Pastor Glen.

Where are you located?

2910 West Main Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980

How long do your services last?

Typically, our services are about an hour long. You can expect about 15-20 minutes of opening worship music and announcements, 20-25 minutes for the sermon, and about another 20 minutes for prayer and a closing song.

What about my children?

We enjoy children worshipping with their parents during the service. We do offer a nursery for children through pre-school if parents prefer to use this service.
