Missions

Most people want – and long – to be a part of something bigger than themselves. We believe God actually designed us with that longing. In addition to that longing, He bestowed upon us specific gifts, talents, and skills that we can use to fulfill His purpose for our life. It is our prayer that in connecting with Hope, you will be provided not only a place to grow in your faith – but also, an opportunity to offer something to the church and to our neighbors!

God calls us to go into our community, our nation, and the world to see lives transformed. At Hope, we desire to live that out through our partnerships with multiple ministries and missionaries, both locally and globally.

Gospel Hill tent ministry

In the summer of 2020, seeking new ways to worship, Mike Adams presented to HCC the idea of worshiping under a tent at Constitution Park. This vision expanded to include over 10 different churches in the Waynesboro community. During this 10-day event, we saw people give their lives to Christ. You can follow Gospel Hill on Facebook.

Love INC

Love INC helps churches help people. Members of HCC volunteer in a variety of ways to support this ministry.

In the first quarter of 2023, we are collecting diapers size 3 or 4, pull-ups, and diaper wipes to support this ministry.

Weekday Religious Education - East Augusta

The focus of this ministry is to provide public school children in Stuarts Draft Elementary, Stump Elementary, and Wilson Elementary schools with the opportunity to learn about God, our creator, and Jesus, our savior. With permission from parents, students in grades K-5 are released to an off-school site for classes. The Bible is the primary text used. The instruction is interdenominational and has been approved by the Virginia Council of Churches. In addition to financial support, Hope Community Church provides Bibles to fifth-grade students and places tabs in the Bible to assist the students in finding their way around the Bible.
