Do you have trouble sharing your faith? Do you have a hard time engaging with people about the Lord Jesus Christ? You are NOT alone!! So, what keeps Christians from sharing their faith? What is it that keeps you/me from sharing our faith? Is it FEAR? Is it not knowing what to say? Is it not knowing how to share the gospel? Is it not knowing the gospel? Regardless of the reason, one presenter in a discipleship class I attended said that the answer is that we don’t want to.
As we read through the dramatic missionary outreach endeavors by the Apostle Paul, we see someone who is not ashamed of the gospel. As the Apostle Paul writes to the Romans in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation.” Wherever Paul goes, he takes opportunities to share his faith. Whether he is on one of his missionary journeys, establishing churches, or even when he is imprisoned, he develops relationships and opens doors to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
May each of us want to share our faith!! May we have the desire to see our neighbors and friends come to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus. May we be open to engaging our friends and neighbors with the good news of Jesus, so that we, like Paul, will see doors flung open for sharing the BEST news ever!!
Worship
We look forward to welcoming Brad Huddleston (one of our mission partners) to the pulpit this Sunday. Brad’s message is “Make Disciples of All Nations,” based upon Matthew 28:19-20. Adult Sunday School
Our Adult Sunday school class will meet this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the large Sunday school room. Please join Deborah Kleinschuster and others for a wonderful time around God’s Word!! We will continue our study of the Gospel of John. This Sunday we will study John 8: Adultery, Light, and Truth! Please bring your Bible!

Golden Oldies
The Golden Oldies and others are looking forward to a wonderful adventure. They will be traveling to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to attend the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater (Guys and Dolls) and Sight and Sound Theater (Moses) on August 23rd and 24th.

Driver Assistance
If you or someone in our congregation needs a ride to a doctor’s appointment or other appointments, please call Tom Reider (540.649.5162). He has agreed to coordinate rides. He has a list of those who have volunteered to give those rides. We are grateful for this important ministry!!
Mission Corner
Brad & Beth Huddleston will be with us this Sunday. Brad uses research-based information to assist parents as they navigate online digital use with their children. They have worked with schools and parents in the US, South Africa, Australia, the Philippines, and other areas of the world. Brad is the author of Digital Cocaine – A Journey Toward iBalance. Hope Blessings Donations for Love INC. We continue to collect donations every three months. From July 1 to September 30, we are collecting various paper products: paper towels, tissues, napkins, and toilet paper. May we be a blessing to those families in need!
