Did you ever consider that God serves us all the time? God is always present for us. I don’t know how He does it. But God is present at every accident, every tragedy, and every storm in life. As we read in Isaiah 53: “Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our sorrows.”
So, since God serves us so faithfully, we are called to serve willingly – according to what needs to be done. We need to ask: “Lord, why have you sent me here – in this position, in this group, in this family? Do what it is in your nature to do and do it willingly.
A man was giving a talk in a Holocaust museum. And he shared about how he was part of the liberating forces after the Second World War. He went into a concentration camp, and he couldn’t figure out what to do – he didn’t have any food, no medical supplies. So, he did what was in his nature to do. He walked up to one of the prisoners and hugged him. You know what happened? A line formed – people waiting to be hugged. This was partly his nature and partly what needed to be done.
Jesus said, “You will know them by their fruits.” God is inviting us to serve. So, be like Isaiah, “Lord, Here I am, send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
Advancing Native Missions – Advancing Native Missions (ANM) is a US-based agency called to seek out, evaluate, and send support to indigenous mission groups throughout the world. They advocate for, encourage, and equip indigenous missionaries around the world to hasten world evangelization. Specifically, we support the ministry of Sister Miriam, who serves God by sharing the gospel in South Asia, primarily with people on a small island community. She carries copies of Luke and Acts and the Jesus Film, which she shows and distributes as often as she is able. Please keep Sister Miriam’s ministry and safety in your prayers. http://advancingnativemissions.com/
